Our new online configurator lets you explore the possibilities – from timber choices to seating arrangements – helping to conjure up a clear vision of the way Fortis could enhance your next project.

    Designed to accommodate 1-4 people, the Fortis bench or seat offers a wide range of configuration options based on a few common components.

    A concrete plinth supports timber-slatted seat platforms that are mounted on pre-fitted fixing points, making future repositioning or replacement simple.

    With a choice of timber profile sizes, armrest positions, and a range of concrete mix and finish options, Fortis is an ideal choice for modern urban environments.

    Fortis can be specified as 2 or 4 person benches (no backrests) or seats (with backrests), with or without armrests.

    You can create continuous seating walls comprising multiple seats / benches, adjacent concrete plinths can be directly abutted and seating platforms can be designed to bridge across adjoining concrete plinths.

    Concrete is available in standard mixes from our colour options.

    • Iroko timber slats – smooth planed finish
    • Seating steelwork – Stainless steel G304 / G16 satin polished or bright polished
    • Seating steelwork – steel polyester powder coated

    Installation

    • Freestanding (all models)
    • The concrete plinth is lifted and lowered into position by using straps tensioned against the recess under the bench and can be placed directly on top of the ground, or a recess can be formed in the paving for the plinth to be placed into
    • Seat platforms are supplied pre-assembled and are fitted to the plinth with simple bolted connections which are accessed between the timbers
