    The Project

    Stockley Park is a 60-hectare business estate located in west London close to Heathrow Airport and with excellent links to the M4 and M25. It is home to many multi-national companies, including Apple, Cannon, GlaxoSmithKline and Toshiba.  The site is characterised by its open parkland setting, with wide tree-lined boulevards and open water bodies that are not only attractive features in their own right but also regulate the park’s water management system.

    One of the most recent additions to the business park, The Set Café is located in what is locally known as ‘The Squareabout’. It serves hot and cold beverages, sandwiches, and salads. With natural cedar wood siding on the exterior and an interior seating area, this modular building is constructed from a single repurposed shipping container.

    Project Solution

    Our RailRoad planters and integrated seating was selected to provide additional seating for customers who wish to sit outside the café, particularly in the summer months. Two RailRoad assemblies were supplied, each comprising a straight and curved bench module with a planter between. A honey-coloured UV protective finish was applied to help retain the timber colouring for a longer period of time.

    The seating modules blend naturally with those of the container café, maintaining a cohesive look with the landscape.
