    The Project

    Located in the heart of Croydon, Impact House is undergoing a complete refurbishment and conversion to a 235-apartment residential development, re-branded as Innova Apartments. The development comprises three adjoining blocks – two 8-storey wings and a central 16-storey tower. On the smaller of the wings, a roof terrace has been created for use by the residents. 

    The roof terrace has been divided by different surfaces, creating a paved patio, flat and raised timber decking and a synthetic grass lawn. 

    The developer wanted the roof terrace design to include fixed planters and seating that could be readily moved around the space when the terrace stages events.

    Project Solution

    With a plastic base that is both strong and light, the Uniun range was well suited to the roof terrace due to its mobility. The initial transfer to the roof terrace was much easier, as the products' manageable size and weight meant they could be set up by two people comfortably.

    There were two groups of four Uniun modules supplied, each consisting of three bench modules and a single planter that accommodated three to four people standing independently. Residents will be welcomed on the roof terrace with a party featuring the new furniture.
