    The Project

    Eastside Quarter is a development of new apartments in Bexleyheath, south London. The scheme provides over 500 new homes for the area and features car parking facilities, a concierge service, gym and residential podium and roof gardens spread over two high-rise blocks with social spaces and retail shops. The roof top gardens are situated on different levels across the two buildings to provide much needed green space for this urban development as well as a spectacular view across London for residents to enjoy.

    We worked with the landscape contractors to provide landscaping solutions and project management for the roof top development on both blocks (A and B) of Eastside Quarter. Presented with the common challenge of transporting to the roof tops, the project also required A fire rated free standing planters to be installed, as part of the roof top design.

    Project Solution

    To reduce congestion caused by traffic in the village a seating and planter solution was added to the closed off roads. RailRoad seating and integrated planters with Edge supports were chosen in a selection of configurations; an independent bridge module and two end modules with backrests and armrests which were powder coated to a standard RAL colour.

    Positioned outside the array of shops the seating and planters are a welcome addition to the village, widely used by the locals providing free seating space accessible for everyone either walking or cycling in the street.
